Tri Colored Unicorn Horn Charm

I perfected my Unicorn Horn Charm! I made the charm out of polymer clay colors pink and blue. Using a clay blending technique called Skinner Blend, I was able to create a third color of purple in between the pink and blue.  The finished project really does look striking.  I heard that in a game (Dungeons and Dragons?) that a tri colored unicorn horn is supposed to represent vitality and strength!  If this little tid bit is true, this makes this charm a perfect little gift for any DAD player.  If you're not in to DAD this charm is still super cute.  My 6 year old niece was really taken with it.  She didn't know what she was going to do with it, but she knew she wanted it. March Craft Update!

I recorded a video showing most of the stuff I made in the month of March. I a lot of small stuff!  I even started to bead, again.  The beading project didn't end well, however.  I mention in the video about how the finished beaded product came out looking like small broom and that I didn't want to wear two brooms on my ear, so only one earring was made.  Don't you just hate a project that doesn't transform in to craft gold!? Maybe I can attach the broom to a mixed media piece of some sorts.  Anyways, in the craft haul you'll see my regular polymer clay stuff, along with some resin and a dash of jewelry making.  I made this awesome shadow box that I forgot to include in the video...that pic is on my instagram.  I hope you enjoy the video!  I haven't started crafting this month...but am really looking forward to getting started, already!

Rhinestone Cat Ears

Seriously the cutest thing I have come up with!  I've seen so many young women walking around with these cute cat ears...but in a plain fashion.  Well, we all know plain just wont do, so I added colored rhinestones to the mix!  Ta-da!  I have rhinestone cat ears. The 28 gauge wire I used is very flexible and easy to work with.  If you're just bumming around the house, this gauge wire will work well for you.  If you head rocking, ear knocking kitty...you might want a thicker wire to make your ears with. You're PURR-fect, meow.

Choco Heart Earrings with Frosting Bow

I'm so proud of this design.  The earrings I created are so cute and dainty.  I've posted so many heart projects on my YouTube channel, I'm kinda getting burnt out!  I hope you enjoy the earrings and decided to make a pair for yourself.

 

Pretzel Heart Necklace

 

 

This week, I made myself a pretzel, heart shaped necklace out of polymer clay. I thought about fashioning a pair of earrings in the same design (smaller of course) but thought that might be carb overload.  The final result came out so cute!  When I showed it to my mom, she thought I glazed over a real pretzel and strung it on a chain.  If you don't have brown clay on hand, you can always use brown food dye or paint baked, white poly clay, brown.  I think even making the pretzel in a pastel color would be cute, there is just so many places you could add your own flair to the design. Dino-mite Valentine's Card -- Dollar Store Craft

I stopped by the Dollar Store and found some cute wooden dinosaur cut-outs.  I also picked up some heart confetti and a large bag of google eyes.  I brought all my goods home and pondered what I could make. Rhinestone Heart Necklace

Another Valentine's Day DIY for ya!  We have several weeks until V day, but there is nothing wrong with being prepared.  You can make this necklace ahead of time and wear it on the days before...because, really; Love should be shared everyday! This necklace takes minimal time to make and uses materials you probably have around your house.  You could always substitute rhinestones with GLITTER!

 

Recycle Gift Cards in to Book Mark

For Christmas, I got some gift cards.  I love gift cards but when the value is spent, what do you do with the card?  It just seemed like such a waste to throw the card award but if not tossing it, what do I do with it?  I came up with a way to turn the spent gift card in to a useful book mark.  This project was very easy. So I'm trying my skill at making craft videos.  I move on to different types of mediums all the time...I feel that this is just another step in that movement.
