The Last TWO Months...Almost 3 Months!

For nearly three months I have been almost completely confined to my bed!  I have Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) and it has been giving me heck!  Once I get over one thing, another springs up.  Right now I am dealing with a painful slipped disc in my back, serious ALL DAY fatigue, breathing issues, joint pain and lack of pain killers.  I have a very high pain tolerance, living with RA for 7 years makes you able to over look little aches and pains, so when I say I'm in pain...I'm in something serious!  Laying down definitely helps me pain manage, but boy does my house get messy.  When I'm stuck in bed, my mind often wonders how any body with a chronic immune system disease got along with everything.  I'm usually pretty good at crafting during this bed time...but I've been feeling in a funk so more than anything I just find myself thinking about stuff.  Despite, I have still been able to get craft videos up you my Youtube channel....don't ask me how.  I, however; haven't uploaded anything in a week. Try as I might the energy just isn't there. 
In two weeks my favorite band The Cure is performing at a Denver festival.  I had plans to go...came to reality, "HOW?"  I have since cancelled the plans, feel especially sorry for myself, but what you gonna do?  So anyways, that's my downer update.  Soon I'll be back to some normality...I just know it!  Until then, craft updates will be a bit slow to come.  Youtube.com/user/crafthappysummer

The Week of Mini's

It's no secret, I like miniature stuff.  I got in to polymer clay because a lot of the ideas out there are making every day things miniature.  My latest creation is a mini crown. You can wear a crown all day, every day and not get weird looks. I've made wearing a crown, social acceptable.  Another mini is the ever so charming top hat.  I kept one design of the top hat very standard but in another design, I went all out and made the mini top hat look like a cake with decorative frosting and sprinkles.  You can watch the tutorials to make both, thru the links provided.

Rhinestone Heart Necklace

Another Valentine's Day DIY for ya!  We have several weeks until V day, but there is nothing wrong with being prepared.  You can make this necklace ahead of time and wear it on the days before...because, really; Love should be shared everyday! This necklace takes minimal time to make and uses materials you probably have around your house.  You could always substitute rhinestones with GLITTER!

So I'm trying my skill at making craft videos.  I move on to different types of mediums all the time...I feel that this is just another step in that movement.
